Hi,recently I've found this annoying pop up window that I think is malware as it doesn't look like anything Microsoft comes up with, added to that the application it wants to report back is called "Mallware Signeture Download" the mispelling seems a bit suspiscious too and its also trying to report Microsoft Office.

What I've also noticed is that my pretty decent spec PC is now running at a snail's pace compared to what it used to and I also noticed my CPU usage has shot up and my connection speed has decreased too.
I'm gonna try and attatch a jpeg of the app. here too if I can work out how...

    Thanks

PS I'm running the Kapersky online scanner and so far it has found 3 viruses that AVG,SPYBOT and AD-AWARE haven't picked up and 15 other infections.

If you're not making any progress, try running Combofix and then go back and continue with the READ & RUN ME instructions.

    Run this utility:

Just incase here's the log that I got off ComboFix as you can see there are quite a few security programs installed some on a temporary basis but can someone debunk all this for me cause I'm quite simply confused lol.

    Hi JamesCT!
Can you continue now with the READ & RUN ME FIRST instructions? That is what I was hoping by having you run Combofix. If so, please read the instructions carefully. If you're still not able to begin them, please tell me.

Ok I'll run through them tonight as I seem to have no luck with my methods.
I can't remember if I mentioned and maybe I should check my past posts but Theonly scanner thats picking these viruses up is kaperksy online scanner and my own one AVG and now AntiVir doesn't pick them up.
Its obvious they are there cause i'm having all sorts of problems too thankfully i've turned it off for now so hopefully no more harm will come for the meanwhile.
In addition to the above I tried downloading a kapersky trial and managed to however when it came to installing it i followed the instructions by the letter it said I didn't have access to a driver kl something or other anyhow i tried searching for it on my pc and didn't manage to find it.
What should I do about that because its kinda worrying.
Finally I'm going to be upgrading my pc soon with a new chipset, cpu, ram and graphicscard so maybe reformatting would be a good idea and avoid all the stress as the only important files are my music, photos and favourites.
What's my next step if the instructions provided herein fail?

    Hi James!

If you want to try saving your data, it might be more useful to go through the READ & RUN ME. Each change in a computer will increase the possibility for problems pretty much exponentially. It would be a good idea to have your harddrive and operating system sorted out completely before you start with the hardware changes. In my look through your combofix, it looks like you have overkill in terms of antivirus and firewalls. I see Comodo, ZoneAlarm, AVG and with the addition of Kaspersky trial version, that means your computer is going to have problems running. Please pick out one firewall and one antivirus and deinstall everything else. If you have any security suites, please remove them via add/remove programs and stay with the single programs for now. In the case of multiple antivirus programs, it doesn't help to deactivate them. You have to deinstall them completely. As for the suites, it's much easier to track problems down if you can approach single pieces of software rather than whole suites.

    Hi again lol,
Before I posted my last message I uninstalled antivir, avg and kapersky as comodo fw and various other components just to try each one out i.e antivir+zone alarm, comodo+avg ect.
I don't understand why the kapersky online scanner picks up on the threats and why none of the other scanners do,can u maybe explain why cause i'm kinda confused as Iwould've thought that they could've bothed picked up on it.
    Thanks again.

    Hi James!
Can you post what Kaspersky's finding? There is no software that picks up everything. There is also the phenomenon of false positives, meaning, that an antivirus program picks up a legitimate file which it labels as a virus. If I can see what you're finding it would help.

ok i will post the findings the only problem i have is connecting to the internet and since i don't know the natureof the virus nor its intentions i'm kinda a tad worried about it but will do that is of course if it is a virus but i would find it strange for my pc all of a sudden to slow down that much. However anotherproblem is that the scannerdoesn't show me what the virus is called if i remember will check over that tonight to be sure and post results asap but for now i gotta do hwk ^^

Are you still having issues? If so, please attach a log or something from the application that is detecting the problem.

Hi,came back from holiday last night still same problems,am sorting out programs i.e uninstalling some will attempt the whole malware removal guide if i have the time as i have some chemistry homework that needs tending too...^^
    Will keep you updated.
p.s what is wrong with reformating my hard drive as since the files that i want are just my music, photos and docs which i can move onto an external drive and scan with another pc which is likely to be more efficient than my own scanners?

Well, formatting the partition will wipe everything and take care of your issues however if you like we can remove the issues you're having.

It's up to you, just let us know what you decide. If you decide to fix your problems, let me know what exactly is going on and post some logs related.
