Does anybody know of a way to permanently disable MS Messenger so that it doesn't start automatically? I have gone into the system configuration utility and disabled it, but the next time the computer is started it runs again.

first go to:add& remove programs>click add&remove windows components>find windows messenger and uncheck>click next

second:go to Start menu>click run and paste this

    RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

    restart and that is all.
