Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1

Okay, well I figured out what I was just about to post. Issues with the setup, & the error I commited was to stop running Windows Install in the Administrative tools > Services. Now with that done & said.

Here is the next issue I come across. I am at Microsoft Download Center, & when I click to install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 the window that is suppose to be the download says internet explorer cannot display the webpage. So then I click : If your download does not start after 30 seconds, click here: Start download - I get the same results : Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage..


Could this problem relate to the Administrative Tools?

Or something within internet explorer?

Well, It worked because I had some services disabled or whatnot.
So I was able to download .NET FW 3.5 SP1.

I am currently running Windows XP Home Edition x86 V. 5.1 (Bulid 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.XXXXXX-XXXX: SP3)

I ran CDM, ipconfig/flush DNS & ping http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/

When I ping I get good results.

After the download I figured well why not downlad the updates since I can fully connect to Microsoft Download Center, well when I tried I just keep getting that there was a problem loading pag (Firefox) or cannot display the webpage (IE).

After messing with the services, Messaging was disabled so I enabled & started. Now half of the load bar loads, & says it is waiting for http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ . Then displayed the connection issue.

 

I agree 2 hours is good response time..
Figured maybe others had same difficulties.

I don't as of now have any questions realated to the .Net 3.5 SP1.

I know I should of posted a thread relating the IE/Mozilla issues.
But it was in fact somewhat related to the .Net 3.5 SP1 installation,
since internet connection is required for the beginning installation process.

It's just so unfortunate I can't open any Microsoft Downloads webpages without it not responding.

 

I cannot update windows if I am trying to get the file from Download center.

I can run any other web page, but sometime when I am googling & or clicking links, I get redirected to if anything more spyware/malware.

I have been running Registry Mechanic, Spyware Doctor, Ccleaner.
