Microsoft.net framework

    What is it. I am updating drivers from the dell downloads and now net frame needs to install in order to install my driver updates? Is that correct.

    A lot of programs require Microsoft .NET framework to be installed. It is legit. Are you asking where to find it?

    No it is downloading before the updates will download. I stopped the download to see if there was away around it as the original updates will only take seconds to download and the .net is about an 1.30hr download. If that is what I must do than that it is.:)

    It looks like it. At least if you download .NET now you won't have to do it in the future.

    The latest .Net Framework is 3.5, but Senlis is correct.

    3.5 is what I am downloading. I think it is going faster than I had expected.

    In certain instances you are going to need the 3.5 update, some programs will not run without it and will ask you to download it.

    I don't have .NET 2 nor any version of .NET 3 installed and so far, nothing has complained. I guess I pick programs that are old and don't need the latest and greatest (hah) to run.
