Crazy amount of money, isn't it.

The idea of that happening is somewhat depressing to me for some reason. Maybe because I can't imagine saying 'I'll go 'Live Search' that'.

I wish they wouldn't sellout... I want someone to take a stand against M$... one day they will own Google if they keep it up.

I just think it's a step in the wrong direction for Microsoft.

Yahoo have been performing badly for a while now, while Google have just been rocketing up.

Personally, I'd make a bid for Google, however Google may not want Microsoft lol.

    Regards Jason :)

Agree totally. I don't think I've ever used Yahoo as a Search Engine. Brainwashed into using Google, I guess. Bazza

If Microsoft buys Yahoo, I will have to find a new home page for my browser! I use Google or a varient of Google to search, but yahoo has some decent news and weather.

I hope they don't take microsofts offers...

    I can't either. I wouldn't give 'em a dime over 35 billion . . . :D

This is a step in the RIGHT direction for Microsoft to become competitive with Google, who as everyone knows, has nearly monopolized pay-per-click advertising. I don't think there's much hope of those two merging, they've had it out with each other in the past.

There's LOTS of buzz going around about this deal, and it's already facing some major hurdles:

Just heard on our 7am radio News (18 minutes ago) that Yahoo rejected the MS offer.

    "Grossly UNDERVALUED" WOW. Bazza

I also heard on the news that it didn't matter if yahoo didn't want to sell because Microsoft would make a hostel take over, how crummy is that?
