I've had the little yellow update shield in the corner of my screen forever now. It's getting really annoying. I have an HP Pavilion a1540n, running windows XP. Everytime I try to update Office XP, it says I need to insert the Microsoft XP Professional disk to continue. The program was installed on the computer when we bought it. I don't have an XP disk. Now what? I can't seem to get any help from Microsoft's website either.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for your reply rustyjack. I have been through the malware removal process before...not looking forward to doing it again. Ah well. I'll give it a try and see what happens.

    Thanks again.
