Outlook won't let me access my files when I'm offline - it just closes.

I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2003 on Windows XP. The exact error is when I start up the program, I get a message saying 'Microsoft Exchange Server not available', with the options to retry, work without a connection or cancel. If I retry, I keep getting the error, but if I try the other options the program just closes.

Shouldn't I be able to access my files without a connection though?

How about this - can I just access the stored emails with a program?

But the thing is, it's not Outlook with Exchange Server, it's just Outlook 2003 and it's never had this problem before.

In Control Panel, Under Mail (Double Click), Show Profiles -> Properties, of the Profile you want to adjust -> Email Accounts...-> View or Change...->Change...-> More Settings...->First Tab Change Connection Type to Manual and then you can select to work offline. In those options you can also change which pst to look at when opening the profile. Let me know how it goes.
