    Hi harrygodfrety,

load the microsoft office CD and run setup.

    select the add/remove features option.

change the Outlook entry to Not Available and then click the Update button.

Outlook is part of the software bundle, years ago you had to purchase each software program separatly therefore you had a choice today its a bundled package.

You may find it easier to simply disable it from being a email option and deleting the icons from your desktop, etc.

    The quickest safest route is:

    Click start
Choose "Set Program Access and Defaults"
Check the circle on the left "Custom"
    then
Click the circle w/arrow down indications in it to the right of "Custom"
You should see multiple options to set
Default e-mail program should be the second down the list

MOST IMPORTANT...BEFORE YOU JUMP AND START THESE STEPS (I did this back in 2002) I am a little fuzzy about whether or not I needed to have another email program established.

either way you decide at worst you have to back out set up another email option and then return to the steps above.
