Microsoft Updating Probs

I am trying to run the Windows Update for XP, and i get a time and date issue that will not let me get to the screen that has the update list. The following error is shown.

[Error number: 0x80072F8F]
Your computer's date and time appear to be out of sync with an update certificate. To fix this:
1. In Control Panel, open Date and Time Properties.
2. Ensure that the date and time are correct.

My time and date are right, but when you go into control panel and try to sync with the time.windows.com server it gives the following error as well.

[An error occurred while Windows was synchronizing with time.windows.com. For security reasons, Windows can not synchronize with the server because your date does not match. Please fix the date and try again.]

Any ideas plz.

Lol I had put 2005 instead of 2006. Wow that was ditzzy.
