   not without stealing it. So it comes down to this, is it worth up to 5000 dollars or up to 50 years in prison. Or paying whatever it costs (I don't think it was that much) for MS Office?

   I think dickydck has covered this topic nicely, there are no free versions of MS Word..
   
   Insomniac has offered a viable atlernative here http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showpost.php?p=719267&postcount=8 but you would need to have the templates from MS already downloaded or he has also linked to another site with templates.
