Microsoft Word Online & Privacy

My laptop doesn't have Word, but my work computer does. I've tried going back and forth on docs using Google Docs and Word, but the formatting is always screwy. I've considered using the free online version of Word https://office.live.com/start/Word.aspx
However, I don't see any privacy options on the site. I don't want the documents I work on to be visible to the public. Does anyone know if these docs can be kept private not show up on Google searches, or be viewed at all by anyone but me? Microsoft boasts about your ability to share them, but that's exactly what I don't want.

As far as I can tell with Word Online, documents are private until you choose to share them. I tried to find specifics, and I did manage to find this:

It would be nice to just be able to see how to turn on sharing for a file and then how to turn it off for the file, but I am not seeing that in the help. Maybe it's there, but I am just not understanding it that way? :-o

 

If your company has Software Assurance agreement with Microsoft, then you should be able to buy office pro 2013 for home usage for dirt cheap. It is $10 to own office 2013: http://www.microsofthup.com/hupus/home.aspx

You just need a program code to get this. And your own company email address.
