I know i have asked a bunch of times but im just wondering if there is anyone esle new in this forum who knows how to fix my problem with Spelling and Grammer in word. It does not have spell check, and when i go to tools, options the tab for spelling and grammer is fuzzy and unclickable

Quinn, how about uninstalling it. Doing a Registry check and clean. Then re-installing Word. A re-install more than often clears any lingering problems. Bazza

Quinn, I agree entirely with the Bazz. When Word is broken, there are two things to try, and one of them will fix it:

Close Word, rename Normal.dot to Normalold.dot, and restart Word.

If that doesn't do it, uninstall Word and re-install it to get a fresh set of files and no corruption anywhere.

If those two don't do it, your problem isn't with Word.

BTW, neither of those steps does anything to the Word documents you already have. They'll be fine after the change.

Go into your control panel, select remove microsoft office. When the next screen comes up it should ask if you want to uninstall or modify. Select modify and then remove word.

If you don't have office, just word from the control panel slect uninstall word.

You have the Office 2000 disks correct? Make sure you have the disks and the code number so you can reinstall the program.

If you have those, then yes Office 2000 in the add/remove programs.

guess im not doing that, cause i dont have the disks on me, but thanks anyways, i will probabley be able to get rid of it over time because it happnened to me on another computer and it eventually went away with some virus programs.
