Migrating Hardrives after MB failure

    Hello All,

One my my system's MB just failed. These MB's have been dropping like files recently due to faulty caps. The machines are pretty old anyways so it's no biggie if they fail.

Problem is, one of the machines that just failed was our SQL server. Yes we do have a backup machine that stores the db backups, however that failed about a month ago.

I do have another machine available here (an old p3 dell), that is in the same generation of the failed machines ( they were P3 DFI MB's). When I try to do a straight move, it gives me the good ole BSoD "Inaccessible Boot Disk".

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the mass storage drivers but can't get it to work. Windows automatic recovery ( during setup) doesn't work. I don't have access to the OS anymore so can't start the migration process.

I've tried going into the recovery console and disabling the IDE drivers (only found these 3 atapi, disk, intelide).

I'm really not sure what else to do. I would really rather recover the drive, with the OS intact rather then slave it and just recover the data. Mainly because I don't know enough about MS SQL Server to feel confidant about setting one up.

    Anyone see something I missed?
