mini pc

Hello,

not even sure what to call these things but my gf wants a small pc to take with her to night school and likes the idea of these dinky things. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they ok or just too small and annoying perhaps. Better of putting up the carrying of a bigger pc (laptop)?

Looking at them it seems typing might be an eye strain?

Laptop PCs are available in many different sizes these days, from as small as 7" and 8.9" screens, up to the 'normal' 14.1" and 15.4" and past that to the "El Grande" sizes of 17" and 18". The best prices are generally on the normal sizes; as they get smaller and larger, the prices go up. Here's some examples of smaller PCs:

These are all made by Asus. Most of these sizes are manufactured by other companies also. Some of the smaller ones (like the 7") are primarily available with a flavor of Linux preinstalled....

 

The keyboard is small. I don't like typing with them. As for the eyes, I think as long as you put the resolution to fewer pixels, you should be fine.
