MIO6033331 Wireless Travel Mouse help

    I've had this for a long time and I haven't used it for 2 years, so I guess the battery is kaput. Can someone tell me how to remove the batteries? I totally forgot how to and I lost the manual (too old to find it online). Also, if anyone knows how to sync it. If anyone can find a manual that would be great.

    The mouse dock has a weird attachment with prongs, like a sort of space ship dock that plugs into the USB and forks out to an AC adapter. The mouse is very small and is kind of shaped like the ship from the Flight of the Navigator. Well, kinda.
