Mirage vs GeForce2

Does anyone out there know if an `SiS Mirage 661gx` is as good or better than a `NVIDIA GeForce2` ?

Also does the `Mirage` have Hardware Transform and Lighting ? If not can this be emulated in any way for the use of a game which requires this?

 

I don't know how accurate it is, but this is the only thing I found on google that says anything about T&L and the 661gx.

Your best bet would be to email and ask your motherboard manufacturer the question.

And, as far as I know there would be no way to 'emulate' Hardware T&L. Another option though, would be to get a better video card. If you tell us what games you play, and what motherboard you have we could make a suggestion.

 

I cannot upgrade the graphics on this computer I dont think as its a notebook :cry

I am after getting World Of Warcraft, Im getting some more memory in a few weeks time, and all my specs are then above the games requirements but I am really unsure about the graphics. confused

I tried Second Life the other day as that is a 3d game, but it wasnt going to cleverly! The graphics were blacking out and multicoloured, after tweaking the settings it was a bit better but still a mess! I reckon that it would have worked with a bit more memory. confused
