    Hello

I appear to be unable to get into my Config. When I go "run" "msconfig" I now come up with the box asking me what program I want to use to open this, it used to come up with my startup tabs etc and I could stop programs starting etc. my computer is 3.0 ghz proc, 1 ghz DDR2, 2x 500gb HDD (Sata) 2 x LG DVDBurner, Nvidia 7600GS Service Pack 3 (this happened pre SP3) The computer is working fine. Has anyone else run into this problem? and if so how did you correct this?
    Many thanks in advance.

Yeah, I've run into similar problems that were caused by malware..... browse to this location: C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllcache and scroll down until you see msconfig.exe. Right click it, select Run As... and in the next window that opens don't change anything, just click OK. I bet it opens normally. If it does, then you probably have a malware issue. In either case, post here and we'll see what we can do....

    Good luck! Keep us posted!

(BTW- you might need to click Tools > Folder Options > View and disable the hiding of system file/folders, and enable the viewing of hidden files/folders)
