    Hi

As to why that is, thats easy to answer, eMachines did not support that PC model with XP, only with Vista, so they do not supply drivers for XP, in some cases its very hard to find drivers that dont exist as PC makers all moved forward a bit and some hardware devices did nto have drivers for older Windows versions written for them.

BUT run the below and maybe someone will know if drivers are available for Xp for your varios chipsets, do also let us know what in Device Manager has a Yellow ! Mark by it and what Service Pack you are running with XP as this is critical for the steps to install especially audio.

    Hi

You maybe in luck as eMachines seem to have used a default Intel motherboard in that PC, in the D945GCL and that does have XP drivers.

What I would do is to install the Chipset driver HERE 1st and reboot, then install the Network driver HERE, then the UAA Audio update HERE and then your Audio driver HERE

Then check Device Manager for those yellow ! marks agian.
