missing icon

Hi,
When I first set up my new gateway pc(modelGT5026E) with winxp home, I had a dashboard icon that would display lower right side of desktop screen above taskbar. It was a box with four smaller squares inside it. Above one square was a small picture of the mouse, the next square had a picture of the keyboard, the third square had A-1 above it, dont remember the fourth square. The mouse and keyboard squares were green showing the battery condition of my wireless keyboard and mouse. THANKS for any help anyone can give.

if so then either check your control panel and keyboard settings for an on screen display option or re-install the wireless keyboard driver http://support.gateway.com/s/KBDMouse/105065/105065nv.shtml ( instructions listed in the link )

Thank you so much for your reply. All the information you provided was right on. Uninstalled the keyboard driver, reinstalled driver from Gateway. the icon displayed, problem solved. BE BLESSED
