Missing sound.HP Mini Netbook 1151 Model # 1154NR

We have uninstalled, reinstalled. Have had the HP tech geeks online taking control of computer and here we set still with no sound won't even play system sounds, and it's also unable to detect th cd/rom that we use to download and play from never had a problem with detection so all these drives are unable to be downloaded. Please help

We need some more information from you:

1. What is your operating system version and Service Pack #?

2. If possible please download and run Speccy, a free system information tool.

When the scan completes select 'File', 'Save as Text file', name the report, and save to an easily found location such as your Desktop.

Be advised: the report will display your IP Address and Windows Product Key. You may delete this information if you so wish.

Then attach that file to your next post per these instructions: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post.

3. Please browse to this HP support page - when you plug in your machine's model name and number, you should be directed to a page requesting information about your operating system. When you answer that query, to which page are you then directed (please copy/paste a link)?
