   I have a user that is unable to use spell check in word 2007. I looked under her languages and the abc spell check symbol is missing next to the english language. Other languages have that symbol and when i switch to them, spell check works fine. Any ideas or am i going to have to reinstall?

   Try this first:
   

   If that doesn't fix it, try this:
   open the registry and delete this key
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared Tools\Proofing Tools\1.0
   
   ***before editing the registry, create a backup.
