Missing wininet32 dll

I am not the best at fixing these glitches. I lost this dll when I had a virus and was cleaned up by NOD32 . It seems to clean up the virus well but this dll is also gone. The virus was related to a intell32/PSguard that took over my desktop and drove me insane. Now its gone but now i can not start adaware and some other problems have appeared too, but no more virus. I posted 3 days ago and down loaded the dll but i don't know how to put it back in its place,are any programs I can buy to do this for me?

The best suggestion that I can give you is to reinstall Internet Explorer.

Hey star17...good find. I have a question about it. After opening the zip file do you need to merge the file into the registry?

The .dll needs to be placed into the C:/Windows/System folder.

Yo! Guys! 123angel did not say that wininet.dll was missing. He said wininet32.dll was missing. While wininet.dll is a valid file and does sometimes get corrupted or deleted (especially by the SmitFraud family like PSguard), but wininet32.dll is not a valid file. So unless the wininet32 was a typo, this file and whatever is trying to load it needs to be removed.

Yo! Chaslang! I must have misread the .dll site re: the 32/64 part of it, thanks for catching that. Hope it didn't cause the user any problems.
