Missing xp files

    We have just finishe a fresh xp home install with sp3 and im still missing some files. Is there some place I can go to run a scan and get these files? One I know is missing is ikernel.exe Thank you for any info:)

    Right click "My Computer" ,hit "Open",Right click on "C:" hit "Properties",click the tab that says "Tools",click "Check Now" check both boxes,,click "Stsrt". A box will ask about a reboot,click "Yes", then restart you computer..Try this first it may help!!!!

    Strange. If the fresh install was successful, there shouldn't be anything missing.

    Yes, keep a Windows Install disc (a different copy if possible) handy and run the System File Checker tool.
