If I recall correctly, windows update wants to install .net, but not through brute force.....definately one that needs to be researched.

    Am I reading that right???

Microsoft's firewall is recognizing microsoft.net as a threat???

    That's priceless :p

I thought so too... but its only that a restart line has been added to the Run/Once regisrty line to finish the updates I just done.

Just thought you lot would get a giggle out of it ;)

Microsoft's firewall doesn't pop up any alerts or warnings. That's their new beta version anti-spyware program. Which is pretty good BTW.

yeah it did end up getting sent ;)

Have to agree with GT ... I have been using the Beta since it was released and apart from a few early false positives, it seems stable and has a few great features.

Actually, it does do popups in SP2.

In true Microsoft style, it says somthing along the lines of

"Hey, look there was this program trying to access the net, so I blocked it, but you can un block it now if you like! :D :D :D"

 Well, at least it TELLS you that it did somthing, rather than just going ahead and doing it like Windows normally does.
