If I recall correctly, windows update wants to install .net, but not through brute force.....definately one that needs to be researched.

Microsoft's firewall is recognizing microsoft.net as a threat???

Microsoft's firewall doesn't pop up any alerts or warnings. That's their new beta version anti-spyware program. Which is pretty good BTW.

 

I agree with wobbles, send it to spynet.

 

It needs work.

It likes to break the OS.

A lot.

 

Actually, it does do popups in SP2.

In true Microsoft style, it says somthing along the lines of

"Hey, look there was this program trying to access the net, so I blocked it, but you can un block it now if you like! "

Well, at least it TELLS you that it did somthing, rather than just going ahead and doing it like Windows normally does.

 

Only programs that can act as servers.
