mobile texters hear me out!

i just bought my new nokia phone and i was wondering if the t9 mode when im texting really works.im used to the multi tap on my old phone but is T9 texting faster?

I think t9 is faster, only i havent got used to it yet. are there any simple how-to to t9?

 

T9 is good and faster-once I learnt how to use it I stuck to it. You can keep adding your owns spellings in it. But its a lot faster than the alpha mode!

It may be quicker to use non-T9 to type a text message, but as Goldie points out, spelling correctly allows people like me to read the text much quicker without having to translate it first

 

i keep hearing this but im still stuck with the normal texting.

 

I would have to concur with the above users that t9 is much faster and spelling correct. It took me a couple days to get used to it, after using multitap for years. Allows you to hit the button that has the letter once and it will make the word for you, some words you may have to hit next to find the word that is the same buttons pushed, but it works like a charm.

 

i think t9 is not something you grab and love and use instantly.most texters lack some basic infos about it thats why others are just contented doing multi-tap albeit knowing they can make faster texting using t9.

 

I'm guilty of never using t9, and guilty of not texting in the last 3 months. :|

 

Well different folks need diff strokes right? Some people cannot do without texting because its a routine already. some use it for business purposes. much more convenient for others.Me, cant do without texting in a day,cant do without t9 as well.

 

With my provider it's cheaper to ring...

 

texting can be much more convenient at times though.I barely ring people up, i prefer texting anyday!!Texting is also great for those times when it's difficult or inappropriate to speak on the phone.thats why i prefer t9 texting because its faster.

 

All right. I'll give T9 another chance. It was the first option I looked up to turn off when it kept interjecting its suggestions. An invasive tool, for sure, but probably the deep psychological fear that a machine is going to start reading my mind. lol

Dont be too much paranoid about it. lol. Its like being afraid that technology will conquer man...or something to that effect. Its much better to think of it as a tool for more better means of communication.t9 is good!
