how about you go to your motherboard, and find a little chip that is next to a battery..thats where your bios is...take out that battery for 30 seconds and then put it in and start the computer...now configure everything

you think I should pull shit off the MOBO? I dont know them that well, thats really not an option. I'd probly fry the whole thing

listen, its not that complicated, really...this seems to be your only option...there is a round battery on your motherboard...there should only be one i think...just take it out when all power cords are disconnected...and then put it in...all this does is reset the bios to normal...so any flashing...its all back to normal. Btw, where did you get this mobo? because im seeing one word pop out at me in my brain: RMA

no go for windows....does it mean it actually booted up first till it got to windows?

Removing the battery(looks like a large watch battery) clears the CMOS with all your saved settings from the BIOS; doesnt fry nothing, no need to pull anything other then that battery out - for now.

What do you mean by installed? did you connect all the devices or what...I dunno about your motherboard, but mine is in my sig, and whenever there is a conflict, it beeps, and says through the speakers what the problem is, such as "Harddrive not found", or "Ram detection error" and such...very helpful indeed

I got it from tigerdirect.ca and ok, where is this battery generally located? whats RMA? and yeah, it boots up, lets me go to bios and such and then says windows couldnt load and asks for normal or safe mode, both flash a blue screen of death, and then restart, and we're back at square one.

just put it in, connected it all, double checked, and turned it on. unless I misplaced a cable, which I doubt

    http://www.bjorn3d.com/Material/Images/434_lp875b_mobo3.jpg
double check all of your connections...and rma is return merchandise...something starting with a...w/e the point is, you can call tigerdirect and be like "yea...ur mobo is defective, i want a new one...they cant do anything but send you a new one, free of charge" I got my pc at www.cyberpowerinc.com, and whenever i have a problem...or i know i messed up something by accident that makes it unusable, i call them and have them send me a new part for free :)

not saying it does (wink wink)...if you know that you messed it up, call them and tell them that you got it that way...unless you wanna be all honest and buy a new mobo...and do try that battery removal thing...i gave a link with a nice close up

your link didnt work. I suppose I COULD get a new one, but I really dont wanna wait a month to send this back and get the other

alrite...dunno what your talking about a month...i get my part in 5 days, but go to google, type in mobo battery, and then click images...that should give u a good idea where the battery is

its something called cross-shipment...they send you the part, and when you receive it, you send them the old one back...its usually ground shipping so 5 days for delivery, 10 at most.

I just read your post and all the replies. You mention a new motherboard, did this also come with a new processor? Nothing was mentioned about whether the hard drive was new. If the new motherboard has a different chipset than the original motherboard and you are trying to run the original XP installtion on the hard drive, that could be your problem. Best bet would be to slave your drive to another system and back up any files and data that you want to keep, reformat and reinstall Windows. Hope this helps! :)

Brokenhalo76 if you wont try peoples ideas why have you started the thread?you cannot damage anything by removing the mobo battery and if you could how will it make your situation worst, you will still have to return it.lol :D

Read your mobo manual, its prob the first thing it tells you to do,if it dont work format and fresh install.
