   What should I look for in a mobo if I want to have at least 2 HDDs, 1 dvd/cd-r drive and maybe an extra drive with something else. Like another burner that I have lying around?

   depending on whether or not you're going with SATA hdd's you'll want a mobo that has 2 IDE ports, which 99,9% of the mobo's out there have and if you go SATA you'll want a mobo that has decent onboard SATA.
