    Hi

I have just reformatted my hard drive
and am going through all the fun of setting everything up again :D

I generally set the taskbar to double width
with the quicklaunch icons on the top row
open applications on the bottom row.
My problem is ive never been sure how I do this
I have always just moved it around till it sets up right.
By default it looks like the attached pic
    with applications etc scrolling.

Does anyone know how to modify it properly via the registry or whatever.
I know this is hard to follow, but i cannot think of an easier way to state it

    Having a good day
2 things fixed in one hour

found the solution to this on microsoft communities

someone wanted to know how to do the opposite :p

the idea is to unlock the taskbar and lift the handler up, this in effect creates two taskbars (kind of)
    you little rippa

IMO this is the most efficient way to use the taskbar
the quick launch bar can take up the whole width (over 30 icons)
and the 'open application bar' holds about 15 and can scroll onto new rows
without disturbing the quick launch bar

:guitar :celebrate :highfive :drink :dood :tas :dancer :hyper :clap
