    Hi,
I am trying to figure out how to turn off this "save links" deal which automatically remembers which URL you have typed. I find it really annoying. I have already reset my history cache settings to 1 day. Is there a way to turn this gizmo off all together?
    God bless,

You can't set it to zero? (I was able to set it to zero, maybe its a fix in SP2...)

    Yes,
I am talking about the feature which automatically remembers what you are typing, later it allows you to hit the arrow next to go and go to pages previously visited. Seems, like I saw a way to disable this feature.

Whoops, I found something else you have to do which prevents the addresses that you type into the address bar. You can try this but it's a modification to your registry.
Remember to backup your registry before doing any kind of modification!

    Run regedit.
    Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/INTERNET EXPLORER
Right-click on TypedURLs and choose "Permissions".
Select DENY for whatever user(s) you don't want to see the urls and hit Ok button.

I thought there was something you can modify in gpedit.msc... but I couldn't find it (so if someone else knows please post).

Rewording: depending if you check Full Control or Read permissions will allow or disallow that particular user the ability to read/write urls into the address bar.
