Moisture Detected Error After Using A Usb C To Hdmi Adapter

I have a Samsung Zfold 4. I sometimes use a usb-c to hdmi adapter to port my cell phone screen to my tv and up until 2 days ago it worked flawlessly. My old adapter had 3 outputs, a usb-b, hdmi and a usb-c. That was started acting funky and wouldn't always port the video to the tv so I bought a cable with usb-c on one end and and hdmi on the other. It worked the first time I used it. Then the next day I go to use it again and I get nothing. Upon plugging a charging cable into my phone I started getting a moisture detected error on the phone. No moisture or debris had gotten into the port. But I used a hair dryer for about 15 minutes anyway, which still resolve the error. But after about 3 hours my phone started charging again. A few hours after that I tried using the usb-c to hdmi cable again, and again I got nothing, but when I plugged in a charging cable I got that moisture detected message again. Now I'm sure there's no moisture or debris in the port, and in a few hours, again, the charger function would work. I've tried clearing the cache in the usb settings under apps and that did not clear the error. I just have to wait an unspecified amount of time and the error clears itself. I'm wonder why all of the sudden trying to port my video to my tv is causing this. I'm stuck at a campground where the only way I can stream tv is either using my phone as a hot spot, which I do not have unlimited hotspot data, or porting the video through a cable to my tv. Any ideas on why the video signal isn't porting??

 

Correction to the OP,,,,,,, using a hair dryer did not resolve the error about moisture.........

 

Just an update: I wound up doing a factory reset at the suggestion of Samsung support and that did not resolve the moisture error, but it eventually cleared on it's own again. Needless to say I'm not connecting to HDMI again, but it in the process of a factory reset I somehow lost all my pictures after backing them up to OneDrive, as they are not there. So now I have to create another post of recovering data from a phone that has been factory reset..........
