Who needs LCD screen wipes when you can make them yourself for a fraction of the price?

Cool idea Goldy, from what I remember Boots wont sell you bottles of ISO over the counter now ( took me ages to get hold of a bottle and I worked for them at one point ), one method I have been using for years and its fairly cheap is using the lens cleaner and cloth from your glasses as if its good for glasses its good for LCD... none abrasive and has never scratched my screens.

Generally you get a free spray canister when you get new glasses and this seems to last a long time.

I've never bought a container of LCD screen wipes in my life. I was told to use rubbing alcohol (without water) on a lint-free, non-abrasive cloth. Works just fine, and rubbing alcohol costs about 97 cents for a pint at the grocery store.

*tch* ... I've managed to buy it from another chemist before, not Boots I admit, forget the name of the company.. they asked what it was for and I told them the truth: for cleaning heatsinks! I was with my step dad at this point, who also wanted it for cleaning some tape heads on his casette decks.

I did some research into it, coz I didn't ever want to buy the wipes because they're a waste of money! That and my laptop screen was really dirty, so I kinda needed to clean it. I did some googling and I took a look at an old packet of wipes and they list the chemicals in the wipes. So I thought, why not share
