It seems I have been infected by the Moneypak FBI scam. I was just browsing the web and suddenly it went to the screen that locks up the PC and tells me I need to send them $500 (see attached photo).

This happened to me once beffore a few months back, but I was able to boot into Safe Mode and do a System Restore, and that solved the problem and I haven't had any issues since.

This time however, I can't even boot into Safe Mode. When I try Safe Mode, or even Safe Mode with Networking, it still goes straight to the ransom screen and I can't do anything.

To make things even worse, I can't boot from a CD. I've downloaded and tried a couple of boot disks, including ERD Commander, MS Dart 6.5, and Kaspersky. It simply cannot boot from CD.

Please tell me there is hope!

    Win 7, 64 bit

    Thanks!
