moneypak locks up windows xp

Okay, I've picked up the noxious Moneypak virus/trojan. It won't let me start in safe mode or with command prompt-- I'm running WindowsXP-- so am at a loss as to how to get around it.

 

That seems to have done the trick. I had tried booting with the Kaspersky rescue disk, but it locked up in the graphic mode-- the command menus would appear, but be grayed out an unusable.
I started the KRD in text mode as well, and did an update and scan, but it still wouldn't allow the graphic mode.
Looking at info on the Kaspersky site and elsewhere I hadn't found the bit about unlock windows.
I was starting to panic!
With the unlock windows command I was finally able to start Windows, do a system restore, then download and scan with Malwarebytes, and things seem to be sorted out.
