Monitor control vs. GPU control ?

Does it matter which you use for controlling your monitor, there is a control panel for my LG1950B with default settings AND a control panel for my GPU (Nvidia 7600GS), driver # 163.75 with default settings, should one be turned off, that is all settings set to 0, if so, which would be the better control panel to set up the monitor's color scheme etc... ????

    Thanks

In my opinion, the best approach is to use the monitor's controls. If you've done that and you still feel that you still want to make some refinements to color or whatever, then resort to software controls. The reason behind my statement: why put the burden on your processor and/or graphics card to do this when the monitor can take care of it?

Thank you, I take it from your reply that BOTH control panels will remain active, just use the Monitor's for adjustments, correct ???
