monitor freezes then pc freezes

hi guys!

i've been having this problem for some time know... almost once a day.

the monitor freezes and also the keyboard and mouse. but if i have winamp playing, it stops playing little by little, and then stops. and all i can do is restart the system.

please help. it bothers me a lot, since this pc is my working tool.

Make sure all your video and sound drivers are up to date.

Do a full scan of viruses and spyware.If that does not solve your problem backup your files ,reformat your harddrive and reinstall windows.

If reforamtting your harddrive and reinstalling windows did not solve your problem then its obviously a hardware issue.

Check to see that your system componenets are not overheating ,clean out the dust etc.
