I will be buying new monitor tomorrow, and I know its a bit last minute but i cant decide between the new Samsung T-Series 22" T-220 for £250 or the LG W2452T 24" for £260!

Can anyone give me a few good/bads about each one so I can decide? Or just plain point me in the right direction? :D

I will be using this monitor as a TV, games and most importantly graphic design (I start at uni in september)!

    Thanks a lot. xx

I would go with the LG 24" for the extra 10, um, pounds (I don't know how to create the little pound symbol with my keyboard).

Larger monitor = better for games and graphics. Even if the resolution is the same, it's better for your eyes.

The things that were confusing me most were, the samsung has a 2ms response time, and the LG has a 5ms response time, is this noticable? Is 5ms good and 2 great or is 2 good and 5 poor?

    Also, the samsung has
    Brightness : 300 cd/m²
    Contrast Ratio : DC 20,000:1 (1000:1) (Typ.)

    Where as the LG has
    High Brightness: 400 cd/m2
Ultra High Contrast Ratio: 10,000:1 (DFC)

What do these mean? DFC, DC etc
How does contrast ratio affect viewing?

I remember the older Samsung Pebble having 2ms response, and 3000:1 contrast ratio, but no DC or DFC ratio, and is only 200. Thanks for more help :D
