monitor not waking up

    I have my computer connected to a Westinghouse 42" monitor which is also used for a PS3 and Xbox. Sometimes when I switch the monitor from the PC to a console and back, the monitor says "no signal" and goes to sleep. This has happened within only a couple minutes- not long enough for the PC to go to sleep or engage a screensaver. It's like the computer feels neglected and crosses its arms stubbornly, refusing to put out a video signal, and I have to hold the power button to turn it off.
    PC is connected with DVI. Ps3 with HDMI. Xbox with component.

    Windows XP
    Radeon 9500 Pro
