Ok when i turn on my computer I hear beeping noises and at the bottom of my machine are these 4 round lights that turn red or yellow. Yellow i suppose is for "everything is good". Anyway when i stay on the computer for about 5-20 mins my moniter blinks a few and turns off. Iv been told that it is not my monitor and that it is my motherboard or BIOS?

What is up with my computer?

    Computer: Aopen
    Moniter: CTX color Moniter
Using: Rage 128, ATi, and Win2000

    Please help. Thanx!

What mobo do you have? and how many and what pattern are the beeps?

when exactly does is it crash? do you get into windows then surf the web for 5-20 minutes? or does it hang before it loads windows?

I don't think it's spyware atm and I don't see anything obvious is your highjack this log ... although I'm not the resident spyware expert here

    I agree with Pyrate,
I sounds like either a configuration issue or a hardware issue (more likely).
Your monitor goes blank because of it is not getting a signal or the system is off...is your PC still running when the monitor goes black?
Also if you when that happens, try powering off the monitor and then power it back on, do you get anything to appear on the monitor?

Could it be the result of an overheating problem? Mainly with video card? Check on that as well...

As far as your HJT log goes, the only one that is generally believed to be somewhat suspicious and even bad:
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [mediamotor.exe] C:\WINNT\mmups.exe

Well i have an MSI mobo....and yes my PC still runs while the moniter is off...also my keyboard stops working. My friend says it could be a power issue.

How long did you have the system and how long ago did the problem start?
Could be a problem with the Advanced Power Management settings. Could be that your system is configured for Hybernation/Standby but BIOS/Video Card (or its drivers) causing a problem with that. Hard to tell at this point but try answering the top questions and also let us know if you installed or uninstalled and programs or devices prior to problem starting.

I didnt install or uninistall anything, iv had the computer for a year and a half. My dad built this computer...and he says he has the parts to build me a new one. This problem started 2 weeks ago, and everytime it happens i have to let the PC rest before i can even get the moniter to work longer. I have checked the PC/moniter power limit and everything is set to "shut off - never" so i dont think its my power settings.

You have to rest the system a while? You mean let is cool off? Does this system have enough fans to provide all around adequate cooling?
I would advise you to open the side of the case (dont unplug or touch anything), monitor all the applicable) device fans (such as PSU, CPU, Video) to see if they are all running after power-on. Sounds like a overheating problem....
