Monitor problems.

On my other computer the monitor does not work. It says, "RGB No input signal!" After that the green light turns to orange it doesn't show anything, but a black background. And we just got this monitor like 1 month ago.

This happened with our old monitor as well.

Everything is connected. Computer works fine. I've tried turning it on/off and still no luck.

Anyone know what's the problem?

 

Check the cable from your monitor to your video cards unplung then plung again if not working open your computer and check your video cards
remove it and set it back again in the slot.....

Nope, that doesn't work.

But another thing I noticed is like everything is asleep. The mouse light doesn't turn on, the monitors orange light is on, which means it's sleeping. Though, the computer is on.

 

Check the settings in the Bios, like your video card, ACPI and power management etc.

 

When you replaced th old monitor with this one was the problem fixed for awhile? Because what you are saying sounds like the monitor is not the problem. When you turn on the computer do the fans come on? How about the lights on your cd-rom drive? If these things aren't coming on then the problem is with the computer.

 

Yes, the problem was fixed for a while when I got the new monitor, but now it's back.

I do agree the computer is the problem, but the fans do come on. The top cd-rom drive doesn't open, but the dvd, cd burner drive does open. Do I figured maybe that's the problem. I unhooked the top one, but no luck.
