Monitor Settings

I have a 19" monitor originally bought from Dixons/PC World
its Model name MW19H-AAAD Product no: X19W and I'm using the DVI lead to my HP Pavillion 500-081ea
I've exhausted my trial and error possibilities trying to adjust it
There are 5 buttons underneath
1: produces a rotorary menu and seems to select volume by default. Then I press button 4 with 1. still opem and I get colour temperature and Advanced. Advanced doesn't appear to do anything more
I can't find a way to get the menu to rotate ang allow me options such as Brightness, Contrast and screen adjustments
As it is the screen is too dim with poor contrast
Could someone help on settings or guide me to a manual
Dixons/PC world dont apper to have anything to offer and there is a limited response from Google

 

When you right-click the Desktop, there should an option like in the screenshot.
