I just bought 2 new identical gateway monitors. The recomended settings for them is 1440 x900 @32 bit. Mine is okay and runs at those settings fine but my wife's does not show a setting like that in the control panel There are different settings in hers but no 1440 x 900. If I set the graphics to 32 bit and then move the slider it will revert to 16 bit at a certain point and there seems to be no way to get the proper settings.

Two different PC's?
May be a driver or update problem.

Make and model #'s for the new display and PC in question will help us help you.
