I am trying to get more speed to edit and burn DVDs I currently have a Dell dimension 4100 with a Pentium 3 processor 1ghz with 512 RAM. Can I change the mother board? If so how do I know what will fit. What about video cards? Thanks

If you are going to be upgrading, I'd just go ahead and buy a new system. Preferably a self built system. Sometimes, trying to upgrade a Dell/HP/whatnot system can be a PITA. This just just my suggestion.

Yes, I have done it, but, once again, it is a PITA, and I always try to suggest buying a new case can create a happy system.

It would be like putting a new nice engine in a 20 year old bashed up car.

I too have tried upgrading a fujitsu-siemens PC and I realised my mistake. I just went and bought a whole new system instead. :)
