Mornin Geeks

I'm praying for rain today so the construction workers won't be pounding away outside the window Sheesh! Last night (until 8:45PM, they start at 8:30AM) they were pounding so hard my puter shut down cuz both power packs came unplugged...worse...I was working on a pretty intense graphic and had it almost done...I'm almost afraid to open up the proggie to see how much work I lost AND keeping my fingers crossed nothing got corrupted.

The alarm company was here yesterday to fix the sensor wire they cut. Maintenance was here Friday to fix our patio door which was knocked out of alignment and to look at the crack in our patio. Chris had to use a pair of pliers to unlock the door Oh yeah! And when the contractor was contacted about it (the workers don't speak English) they claim they aren't responsible!

Calgon...take me away!!! LOL

On a bright note..when Chris opened the window to tell the worker what he did I ended up LMAO when he was yelling and told the guy "Finito!!! Go Home!!!"

I was SO hoping they would be done with this work when I got back from NY....no such luck....I get to listen to it ALL friggin day! grrrrr

So...what's on your agenda for today?

 

I've always wanted to live in a house that dangles over a cliff.....

That sucks man. The only work that is done by me is a bunch of idiots doing a roof a few houses down. That's it.

 

Constant rain for the last 36 hours here, but it is meant to brighten up later this week into the low 70's so I shall probably go to work with my hubby and meet all his co-workers and see exactly what it is they get up to all day *gulp*

Been under the weather the last day...some virus thingy...so just taking it easy. Today is our youngest's tenth birthday. Yayyyyy!!! The last one is now in double digits

Is that a construction crew or a wrecking crew they've got working there? Sounds more like the latter.

Ok..so I'm a day late in getting back to this thread...had a busy day yesterday and my monitor was being especially temperamental so I stayed away from my puter just so I wouldn't throw it out the window lol

We didn't get rain but I did get a bit of a reprieve as they were working on the other end of our building so the pounding was muffled a bit..Yeah!!! Did I forget to mention that the first day they were working they broke the main water line that comes into our building? They did a temporary fix on it and a plumbing company came the next day to do the actual repairs...of course they started on just as I was getting into the shower so as I was getting in the shower the water was shut off Gawd I can't wait til they get done!

@ Halo...I didn't check for program corruption til this morning and am happy to report all seems to be well. I was using PSP8 at the time but share files with versions 7 & 9 also so was a tad worried but they are all working fine.

I dunno. I thought I was going down with some bug as I've had deep aches in my neck and lower base of my skull and also shoulders. It just felt like something coming on but I never got any further with symptoms e.g. temperature, yet I can't shake this pain. Meds do nothing and yet it can get so sore at times I feel nauseous. Doesn't feel like a pinched nerve and I've done nothing to pull a muscle.

Oh well, I guess it will settle down in a few days Thanks for asking after me Abby...you have so much on your own plate with your Mom's health right now, I was touched that you asked
