Alright, I am sitting at my office thinking. So far, there's no pain. Anyhow.. You know how people find different uses for common items from time to time? I mean, even dogs use toilets for water dishes.. Well.. My question is this: You know how a lot of trucks carry the spare tire under the bed, and you have to use your tire iron to run the winch to drop it to the ground? How strong is that winch? Could you pull the truck over a small stump, and winch it out of the ground? I would imagine that you're far enough away from it when you're dropping the tire that there's some pretty serious torque.. Any thoughts? :major :confused

Depending on the truck if its a fullsize noway now a mini truck maybe and heres my thinking behind that. My Isuzu is so light if one of my rear tires is almost flat say down to 5lbs you can not tell because its so no theres almost no weight on the rear end of it but i think the cable is too thin but i seen weirder things happen.

It would probably be better to hook a chain to a solid part of the frame and try to pull it out that way.
And crank the tunes up! That always helps a problem get solved. LOL

I have no doubt there are better ways. A little C4 would do the trick too. My thought is more along the lines of how strong a winch comes with every truck. You know how much they cost to add, for towing.. I have no intention of trying this for any reason. Anyhow, I might try some research.. Thanks for the replies thus far. ;)

I believe this hooks into the trunk, a weak spot in many cars at least. If in the truck, it mounts to the bed, thats fairly weak metal as well as far as stressing. In other words, I assume it depends where its bolted, but ill bet some engineer from the car company knows exactly what its capable of doing. Now, back to work on turning my exhaust into a drinkable beer, let me know how that goes.

I believe that venture ended a while ago. The Chrysler Venture ran on anything that would burn.

I saw this on a car show, it might have even been Top Gear.. Looks pretty cool though. :major
