Im not coming to you guys with a problem. For once. I just need some help/info on my motherboard.

    I have a Asus 1366 P6T SE. Link below:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-1366-P6T-SE-6400MT/dp/B001UNI9IG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1307361626&sr=1-1-catcorr

    Im just curious to know:

-How much ram i can have with it. i currently have 4gb installed.
-Is there a limit to what type of graphics cards this motherboard can take? brands/power of the graphic card etc.

I think thats it, if theres anything else ill add it.

    Thanks for the help.

The Mobo is capable of taking 24gb of memory but it would be prohibitively expensive to do that and you would not be able to use anywhere near that with just everyday computing.

As for the graphics card that is more to do with the power supply that you have. the more powerful the card the more juice it needs but any PCI cards will go into this board.

    thanks for the quick response.

so will a graphics card say on it how much power is required?

    thanks again.

another question: is there a site which compares graphics cards?

so i can compare my current graphics card with another so i can see how much increase in performance there is?

    thanks for those links.

    another question:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zotac-GeForce-1280MB-GDDR5-Graphics/dp/tech-data/B004ETVG60/ref=de_a_smtd

i found the top graphic card from your link on amazon and it says it comes with 2 power cables. i have 2 6pin slots on my power supply. the power supply is 700w.

and according to this link the power consumption is 330w.

    http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/2010/12/07/nvidia-geforce-gtx-570-1-3gb-review/9

with that and the pci slots available on my motherboard, is there anything else i need to take into consideration when choosing a card?

What i think you will find is that the card has 2 power inputs but the kit that come with the card has adapters that will work with your PSU.
This is common with high end cards

so if i use both of the cables the card will run perfect with my power supply and motherboard?

    The card will run perfectly.
As for asking lots of questions that's what we are here for and the only stupid question is the one that is not asked.
No one here will criticize you for asking.

What OS and Bit type are you using? 32/64?

    Windows 7, 32-bit.

32-bit OS will only let you use a max of 4GBs of RAM.
