The connection is fine but the computer takes forever to load and it just takes forever to do anything (open email, open I.e., etc) I have run CCLeaner and fixed the issues but it is still really slow. It must be the startup programs but I am not sure of what to delete/disable and what not to delete/disable. Can I get some help? What logs you need?

Slow PCs are not really issues for the malware forum. If you want we can check to see if any malware is hiding in the background causing you problems ( run the READ & RUN ME), but HijackThis is not going to tell us that.

I'm more inclined to believe you may have problems due to things like your PC processing power and the amount of RAM (how fast is it and what is the processor type - right click on My Computer and select Properties and tell me what you see for these), and what you are loading. Possible process hogs include the below:
    • Symantec << massive hog! It even has 3 LiveUpdate services running which is absurd. I suggest you begin by uninstalling this. Then reboot and run the below:
    • CounterSpy <<--- is this a paid version or free trial. If free, uninstall it. If paid, tell me.
    • Yahoo Toolbar & companion
    • Google Toolbar
    • Norton Toolbar <-- but this will be gone after uninstalling as noted above.
If things run better without Norton than install one of the antivirus programs & firewall list in the below:

on C: properties it just said that there is 15.6GB free space out of 27 GB. I uninstalled counterspy. I didnt see ram or processing power. I uninstalled the toolbars. Shes really old fashioned and believes that she needs Norton or her computer will get viruses. I dont know if she will want to delete that.

Not C: Properties, My Computer Properties. If you don't have a proper link to My Computer on your Desktop, open Control Panel and double click on System. There you will find the info on processor type, speed and RAM.

We have tools to replace it in the How to Protect youself thread, but before you go any further how is it currently running after removing CounterSpy & the toolbars?
