Mother's Day

Mothers do more to preserve and shape society, by shaping our children, than any other profession. It's no stretch to state that motherhood is the most important job in the world.

I am fortunate to still have my mother and father. I appreciate now all the things she did for me when I was younger.
I hope my kids appreciate me some day as much as I do my mom.

I got my mom the classic flowers and a card.

I almost forgot it was mothers day too.

 

Very true. I lost my Mom 41 years ago, when I was very young, so I didn't really get to know her. From what little I do know, she was a good mom. My wife also lost her mom in early childhood. Now she is gone too, which somehow bites more than death.

I like to remember how people lived, rather than how they died. I like to remember the happiness and joy they bought, rather than the pain and isolation of loss.

Life, I've found is neither cruel nor kind, neither fair nor unfair. It simply exists. Its secrets and treasures as well as its demons, lie in the mind of the beholder.
