Motorola W385 Software

I just bought a Motorola W385 cellphone, it came with my plan from Verizon. I have a USB cable...but no software came with the phone. I'm trying to get my computer to recognize the phone so that I can download personalized ringtones/pictures onto the cell from my PC. I THOUGHT it would be easy!!! I have googled for what seems an eternity trying to find a simple driver installation to download from the web, but I'm beginning to think its non-existant. I thought I had found it one time, but it ended up just being a program that enables you to charge your phone by attaching it to your PC. (I didn't need this program...but whatever) Does anyone know of a direct link that will allow me to download the driver software for the phone? Or do I HAVE to have a c.d. for it? Thanks.

 

The drivers alone for this phone will not let you copy media to your phone. You can find drivers for your phone if you look hard enough on the web, but that will only let you recognize the phone as a modem device. This will let you charge your phone on the usb cable and let you send faxes with your computer, but it won't help you with what your trying to do.

What you need to find is Motorola Phone Tools, which lets you transfer stuff back and forth from your phone, sync contacts and messages with your computer, ect. You can also find that on the web, but its very hard since its not freeware, you can buy it from Motorola($50 Here). However this may not help you anyway, because your service provider can set your phone to not allow you to transfer ringtones, ect to your phone.
