How do I drag stuff over so I can make it into a ringtone?

I have installed the drivers and whatever. I have also seen that there is free space on the phone. However, I don't know how to make it so that I can drag stuff over. I don't have a memory card either.

I got this phone from a friend so I don't have anything except the phone.

When you say drag stuff over, where from? If you mean from the PC you are going to need a USB data cable for your specific phone.

Also, usually, to drag stuff over you will need to do so to a data card, not the phone memory, so you would need to purchase one of these too.

I am dragging stuff from my pc

I have a cable. And I guess I could invest in a card. They're cheap nowadays anyways. Thanks.

Not sure what phone service you have, but I know Verizon at least doesn't allow you to just put songs on and make them into ringtones. I have to actually text the song to myself and save it as a ringtone.

Here's a thread about it if you are interested...it might be of some help/interest to you:

there is motorola software to use for motorola phones...i use it with my wife's razr, and it has a ringtone creator on it....

it's $34.99 US to download the software

or 49.99 US to get it on cd along with a mini usb cable.

tho you probably already have a mini usb cable laying around for a digital camera or something...check first, then you only need the download and you can save the software on a cd or something for later use.
    this link

will tell you what part(s) of the software work with your phone

I use other software to make ringtones, and then just transfer them to my phone...to get around using the motorola software, you can use bluetooth to transfer the files to your phone (if you have a pc bluetooth adapter and bluetooth on your phone) or like laura said, just send it in a text to your phone

Lol I'm using the trial software right now. I don't think I'll need it very much ever again. If I do however, I do have 5 computers that I could install the trial on again :D

You've updated the drivers too and have a USB connection from computer to phone? Which phone do you have (example the Motorola Krave updates the driver for you and has an inbuilt card).
