Mouse Cursor Disappeared!!!

As you can probably tell by the title, my problem is that my cursor has disappeared. I'm at my wit's end on trying to figure this out. I tried every antivirus out there, all while only using my keyboard. I thought it may have been a virus, but after multiple scans that doesn't seem to be the case. I think it may be that a required windows file may be missing, but i don't have a repair cd around to see. Just for reference, I'm running Windows XP, and i've set up my computer on a triple-boot: windows vista, windows xp, and Ubuntu 10.04. I know it's not an issue with the mouse, because it works on the other operating systems, and also because i've tried 3 different mice all with the same result! I've tried a ps/2 and usb mice. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I thought i did, but i was able to get into the Device manager and under "Mice and other pointers", there was "Microsoft PS/2 Mouse" with a little yellow exclamation point next to it. I then opened up it's properties and this is the message in the window: "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)". If it is a corrupted driver, where may i find a new one to download? I hope this helps

 

Nevermind, i did a quick google search and downloaded and installed the file i got from here: http://www.softwarepatch.com/utilities/logimouse.html and it worked like a charm. I wish i knew how the drivers got corrupted or deleted in the first place, but thanks for your quick response!
